Six (6) Simple Checks Before You Step Into 2026.

1. Where am I in my walk with God?

Have I been consistent in prayer, in the Word, and in listening? Have I let my busyness replace intimacy with Him?

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you - James 4:8

2. What kind of work have I built this year?

Did my career stretch me, drain me, or grow me? Am I proud of how I showed up in my work? Reflect on whether you're moving with intention or just moving to survive.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord - Colossians 3:23

3. Who did I become in my relationships?

Was I in the moment? Was I honest? Did I show love in both my words and in my actions? Did I allow disrespect to linger where it should’ve been confronted?

Evaluate both the people in your life and your part in the dynamic.

Let all that you do be done in love - 1 Corinthians 16:14

4. How well did I treat my body?

This year, did you treat it like something sacred or something to just get by with? Did you move it, feed it, rest it, and listen to it?

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit - 1 Corinthians 6:19

5. What habits did I build or let go of?

What did I start that made me stronger? What did I keep that pulled me back? What patterns do you want to carry into 2026?

Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest - Galatians 6:9

6. What goals still matter to me and which ones don’t?

Not every goal from January deserves to still be in December. Be honest about what still fits, and what doesn't.

Write the vision and make it plain - Habakkuk 2:2

PS: Your next season doesn’t need to begin on January 1st
