It’s one thing to avoid doing harm. It’s another to actually do good, to nurture, and build.
Being a Goodly Woman is about building character, maturity, and courage, especially when no one’s watching.
Here are 10 questions to check in with yourself to help you grow into a Goodly Woman.
1. Do You Keep Your Word, Even When It’s Not Convenient?
Integrity is about doing what you said you would, even when it costs you.
Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ - Matthew 5:37
2. Do You Speak Life, Or You Simply Just Avoid Gossip?
It’s not just about keeping quiet in the midst of idle/small talk. Do your words build, affirm, restore?
Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones - Proverbs 16:24
3. Do You Serve Only When You Can Be Seen?
Are you kind when no one’s clapping? Or only when it gets noticed?
Your Father who sees in secret will reward you - Matthew 6:4
4. Are You Safe Emotionally, Or a You’re Just Absent?
It’s not enough not to lash out. Are you warm? Attuned? Do people feel safe being vulnerable around you?
Above all, love each other deeply - 1 Peter 4:8
5. Do You Apologise When You’re Wrong?
Many avoid harm. Few take ownership when they cause it. A good woman does not deflect when she errs, she owns it and then seeks to restore.
Confess your sins to one another… so that you may be healed - James 5:16
6. Do You Nurture Your Relationships, Or Just You Show Up?
Are you intentional in friendship, family, and romance? Or are you just coasting?
A friend loves at all times - Proverbs 17:17
7. Do You Lead Gracefully, Or You’re Only In Control?
Being strong does not mean being forceful. Do you allow space for others, or do you control outcomes?
Let your gentleness be evident to all - Philippians 4:5
8. Are You Growing, Or You’re Only Ever Busy?
The calendar can be full, and your soul still empty. Are you deepening your faith, wisdom, and womanly purpose?

9. Do You Truly Forgive, Or You Just Tolerate?
Forgiveness must not mean forgetting. But it is a deliberate release. Are you silently harbouring bitterness inside of you?
Forgive as the Lord forgave you - Colossians 3:13
10. Do You Allow God in Your Decisions?
It’s not just about avoiding bad choices. Do you wait on God before you move?
